Building for Europe: Cybersecurity Companies to Watch

Europe is becoming a more demanding market for cybersecurity companies.

With regulations such as NIS2, DORA and the Cyber Resilience Act changing how organisations approach cybersecurity, identity, risk and resilience, the demand for practical security solutions is growing across sectors.

For international cybersecurity companies, however, entering Europe is about more than understanding the regulations.

It means finding the right customers. Building trusted partnerships. Testing products in a new market. And understanding how European organisations actually buy and deploy cybersecurity solutions.

That is where our softlanding program, delivered together with the Hague and Partners and InnovationQuarter, comes in.

The program helps international companies explore the Dutch and wider European market through local connections, market validation and access to the Netherlands' security ecosystem.

This cohort brings together five companies working across different layers of the cybersecurity stack, from identity governance and GRC to industrial hardware, OT authentication and IIoT security.

Astranova Labs: Identity Governance for the Compliance Era

Sector: Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)

Global headquarters: Bangalore, India

Astranova Labs is building Citadel Identity360, a SaaS-based identity governance and administration platform designed for enterprises operating across cloud, SaaS, on-premise and hybrid environments.

The platform brings identity lifecycle and access governance for both human and non-human identities into one system, with enterprises navigating NIS2, DORA and GDPR among its target customers.

For organisations dealing with increasingly complex access requirements, the challenge isn't simply knowing who has access. It is being able to govern that access consistently across increasingly fragmented IT environments.

Astranova Labs is looking to build relationships with pilot customers, channel partners and investors in Europe.

Aspia Infotech: Turning Risk Findings into Action

Sector: Cybersecurity, GRC & Risk Management

Global headquarters: Gurugram, India

Finding a security or compliance problem is one thing. Actually getting it fixed is another.

Aspia Infotech's platform brings cybersecurity, governance, risk and compliance operations together through automation, configurable workflows and real-time risk visibility.

The platform is designed to help organisations connect areas such as security findings, risk management and remediation rather than managing them as separate processes.

Aspia already works across sectors including manufacturing, technology and SaaS, logistics and supply chain, and financial services and insurance.

The company is now looking for enterprise customers and proof-of-concept opportunities in the Netherlands and EU, as well as technology and channel partners.

ASRock Industrial: Building the Hardware Behind Edge AI

Sector: Edge AIoT Hardware

Global headquarters: Taipei, Taiwan

Not every cybersecurity conversation starts with software.

ASRock Industrial develops industrial computers, embedded systems and edge AIoT platforms for applications across automation, robotics, commerce, entertainment and security.

Its products are designed for demanding industrial environments, with OT security standards and capabilities including IEC 62443-4-1/4-2 and FIDO Device Onboard.

For European companies building connected industrial environments, edge computing and AI applications, secure and reliable hardware is becoming an increasingly important part of the equation.

ASRock Industrial is looking to connect with hardware and channel partners, as well as organisations interested in OEM and system integration opportunities.

SSenStone (Swidch): Rethinking Authentication in Operational Technology

Sector: OT Authentication Technology

Global headquarters: London, United Kingdom

Industrial systems have a very different relationship with authentication than the average laptop or SaaS application.

PLCs, HMIs, DCS and RTUs often operate continuously and were not designed around the login and logout cycles common in traditional IT environments.

SSenStone (Swidch) addresses this with OTAC, a technology providing dynamic, single-use authentication codes for OT endpoints.

The technology is designed to work with existing password interfaces and does not require a network or server dependency, allowing organisations to strengthen authentication without replacing existing OT systems.

The company is looking to connect with pilot customers, OT integration partners and investors as it expands into new markets.

MicroSec: Security for the Smallest Industrial Devices

Sector: IIoT / OT Device Security

Global headquarters: Singapore

Some of the hardest devices to secure are also the smallest.

MicroSec focuses on Industrial IoT and OT security, developing a lightweight security stack designed for constrained devices where conventional security solutions may not be practical.

Its technology combines protection, monitoring and MicroAgents, using edge AI and federated learning to support security while keeping false positives low and preserving data privacy and sovereignty.

The company's target sectors include smart manufacturing, smart cities, critical infrastructure, and smart ports and maritime.

MicroSec is looking for pilot customers, channel partners and investors in Europe.

Why the Netherlands for Cybersecurity?

For international cybersecurity companies, the Netherlands can offer more than a first European market.

The country has a strong concentration of companies, institutions and expertise working across cybersecurity, technology, critical infrastructure and security.

But entering this ecosystem takes more than setting up a company address.

International companies need to understand who the relevant buyers are, which partnerships can open doors, where pilot opportunities exist, and how their technology fits into the wider European market.

That is the role of our softlanding program: creating the local connections that make market entry more practical.

Through this program, we’re helping these companies explore opportunities in the Netherlands, validate their propositions and build relationships that can take them further into Europe.

Looking to Connect with the Cohort?

The companies are looking for pilot customers, enterprise POCs, technology and channel partners, OEM and system integration opportunities, and investors, depending on the company.

If you're working in cybersecurity, industrial technology, critical infrastructure, enterprise IT or another relevant sector, there may be a strong fit.
